Hi Thomas, I love your Widlas header. I am in the process of trying to brand myself. It's not an easy thing to do, but other peoples comments help in that direction. I really do think our team spirit is something else, everybody helping each other and pleased when one of us has success. If you have the time would you come over to my site and leave a comment, I would appreciate it very much.

Hi Thomas,

You ok!

I can relate to your post. I have started to use Gary Simpson's daily planner, which I find a great help. In fact a friend of mine saw me using it and asked for a copy....another 73 pages! Gazz-Man owes me a ream now!

Got distracted today. My wife asked me to look at the 1911 UK census which is available today, she was looking for old ancestors! See what I mean.

Not too sure about your header (trying to be polite) the old one was ok.! Dean was on about changing his, mind you he was looking at spending $3000, but I think public opinion suggested he should save his money.

Content that counts, and yours is well worth following!

Cheers

Lesley Morgan: Yes, I think many of us didn't care to much about this planing thing. Or if someone did, they didn't follow it by the book everyday. I'm frustrated if I wake up and go to bed without doing anything productive.

It's all about learning Lesley. I may come off as a tech guy, but there is a lot of stuff I don't know yet too. I'm just looking forward to solving the money making part. Then spending a lot of time in front of the computer doesn't feel that bad :)

Marius Ystenes: Hi buddy! So true, the computer or even more The Internet is filled with stuff to click on. It's hard to get done what you really need to do get done on a daily basic. But I know if we just help each other out we can really succeed in this.

Looking forward to meeting you in about 2 weeks. Coming to Oslo for a business meeting. Talk to you soon!

Gary SIMPSON: Thanks for helping me with ideas and such. I totally agree with you on the old design. It didn't say anything else then pretty.. hehe. Now I feel that I have a brand and I'm using it all over the place now.

Thomas,

Your new header looks fantastic man! It is SO much better than the first one. That really had little or no meaning for me. This one is a BRAND! It very clearly identifies the WIDLAS mission.

Well done mate!

Man - I can soooo relate to this.

And I think most entrepreneurs, at least those that are doing business online, can relate to the same thing as well.

It’s so easy to get distracted when you sit in front of the computer.

So many impressions. So many things to do. So many things you should to. A little bit of that
and little bit of that.

But what’s funny is that most people out in a “real job” are only productive for about 2-3 hours a day as well, and once we entrepreneurs master this we can truly enjoy 2-3 hour work days and take the rest of the time off. So it’s clearly one of the most important skills to learn.

And as Steven Covey writes in his “7 habits for highly successful people”-book, it’s not about ‘time-management’ - it’s about ‘managing yourself in time’.

I’ve found with myself, that if I don’t plan out what I’m going to do beforehand, and then go through the list step by step and just concentrate on one subject and task until it is done, I’m constantly feeling unproductive or even ‘guilty’ to myself for not being productive and instead wasting my time on non-money-making activities.

So even though I’ve actually accomplished quite a bit during a day, I would still have that unproductive-feeling at the end of the day. But if I write it out and actually do it - it feels great.

I think this is almost an artform, which really pays when you’ve got it all figured out. Great stuff about setting plans for the entire year and then break it up into quarters, weeks and days.

See you at the top (and the beaches of the world), Thomas! Keep the great posts comming!
